Coming off their second victory in as many days, the Blue Devils headed to the Brisbane airport for their final destination of the Australia tour, Cairns. The flight took about two and a half hours and then arrived in the much warmer Cairns. Duke boarded a bus and headed to the Wild World Park.

The major attraction was the koalas. This little zoo has many koalas and has times set aside each day for visitors to hold and get their picture taken with the koalas. This was a major hit with most everyone as the group wanted to see what it was like to hold and touch a koala.

One of the other highlights was the kangaroos. All the kangaroos were in a very big pen and visitors could walk around inside and feed the kangaroos. There were many different ages and even baby kangaroos inside the cage. The cage wasn't small as it was much bigger than a basketball court. As you can tell with the photo gallery, senior Krista Gingrich lived up to her promise to kiss a kangaroo, but Alana couldn't bring one home like she wanted.

There were also many very big crocodiles as well as snakes, birds, dingoes, wombats, and even a wedding chapel, which we couldn't understand why anyone would want to get married in the park. Some of the group stayed back after the team left and saw a crocodile show, which had the trainers feeding them with chickens.

After the group left the park, everyone was on their own for the afternoon and evening. Most of the team did some shopping and found something to eat. The hotel is located right in the middle of a mall and there are plenty of shops right down the road also.

Monday is a big day for the Blue Devils' as the squad will travel out to the Great Barrier Reef.
