A year ago, Douglas led all NCAA freshmen with his all-purpose yards per game average of 131.1 ... Cuthbert's school-record total against the Yellow Jackets included 234 rushing yards, 56 receiving yards and 21 kickoff return yards ... The ACC single-game standard is 411 established by Wake Forest's John Leach against Maryland on November 20, 1993 while the NCAA record of 578 yards was set by Emmett White of Utah State versus New Mexico State on November 4, 2000.

Duke's previous standard of seven was held by Randy Jones (vs. Virginia on September 22, 1990) and Ed Hicklin (vs. Clemson on October 19, 1968) ... Douglas now shares the ACC mark with four other players.

Charting Douglas: With his eight kickoff returns for 188 yards in the season-opener versus Florida State, Chris Douglas has moved into a tie for ninth place on Duke's all-time chart for kickoff returns with 43 and into ninth place on the school's career list for kickoff return yards with 954.

Hamilton Returns Punt For TD Vs. Seminoles - Again: For the second straight year, Duke's Ronnie Hamilton returned a punt for a touchdown against Florida State ... In 2000, Hamilton raced 84 yards for a score in Tallahassee, and then scampered 68 yards for a touchdown last week in the season opener against the Seminoles ... For his career, Hamilton now has 38 punt returns for 338 yards and a pair of touchdowns ... He is one touchdown shy of the school career record of three held by Jay Wilkinson (1961-63).

Hamilton Moves To Fifth On Duke All-Time PBU List: Senior cornerback Ronnie Hamilton, with a pair of pass breakups in the Florida State game, has moved into fifth place on the all-time Blue Devil list for pass break-ups with 23 ... Wyatt Smith (1988-91) and Erwin Sampson (1988-91) share the career record at Duke with 32 PBUs each ... Hamilton, who paced the Blue Devils in PBUs in 1999 with 11 and 2000 with six, will look to become first player in Duke history to lead the team in PBUs in three consecutive seasons.
